Traditions of old Prague breweries

Who can argue with the fact that the Czech Republic is the beer capital of the world? Here, even people who did not like it before visiting this country sip on foam with pleasure. What do you think about the idea: to combine tasting of a hop drink with a historical excursion? There are three breweries with an impressive baggage of the past. At U Medvidku, the oldest brewery on our list, you'll see how three elements - water, hops and malt - turn into a frothy drink. The most amazing thing is that 550 years have hardly made any adjustments to this process. This brewery has a traditional approach to brewing. Then we will taste the result. You will be offered 3-4 types of beer, but you should definitely form your opinion about two of them: "Oldgott" - semi-dark unfiltered and "X-Beer 33" - the densest beer in the world.

But the level of skill in the preparation of this drink has been honed over the centuries. After all, the recipe has not changed since 1499. The walk begins while on the road, when the guide tells about the history of Dresden, reborn as a Phoenix from the fire that declared it during World War II. An hour and a half walk through the historical center will acquaint you with the late Baroque Zwinger palace complex and the castle-residence, where the famous porcelain painting “Procession of Princes” and the treasury of treasures “Green Vault” are located.

The city landscape is adorned with the best works of church architecture: the Frauenkirche Lutheran Cathedral, the St. Simeon Divnogorets Orthodox Cathedral and the Hofkirche Court Catholic Church. After the compulsory program, 4 hours are allocated to explore the Saxon capital. Guests can spend them on a visit to the Dresden Gallery, the Semperoper or the promenade on the Brühl Terrace.
