There is an amusement park PortAventura in the Spanish town of Salou, which will surprise even sophisticated tourists. It has its own flavor, its own flavor that distinguishes it from other similar parks. In the article, we will tell you: what the best amusement park in the world PortAventura is, what zones it is divided into, which attractions are the best, how much tickets cost, opening hours, how to get there, which hotels to stay in and much more. Entering the fabulous space of a huge park (area 117 hectares), you immediately disconnect from everything that is outside it: its infrastructure is so amazingly interesting, dizzying attractions (40 types), located in thematic zones, are bright and diverse.

Attractions in the Mediterranean area

The first of the 6 zones in which the amazed tourists find themselves is the Mediterranean, designed as a charming fishing village with a typical Mediterranean flavor. There are restaurants where you can taste the national dishes of Greece, France, Cyprus, Spain, that is, almost all Mediterranean countries. Many different shopping establishments where you can buy unique souvenirs.

Roller coaster Furios Bako. The main object of attention is the stunning rides, for example, the famous roller coaster Furios Bako, the crazy speed of which is the fastest in the world (135 km / h - acceleration in seconds). Taking this into account, the organizers introduced restrictions for those wishing to "taste the adrenaline": height from 1.5 m to 2 m, which excludes the participation of young children, whose vestibular apparatus is not yet sufficiently strong. But the rest of the lucky ones will experience cosmic sensations!

Crazy barrels. The recently opened Crazy Barrels attraction will be a great pleasure: large wooden barrels with special seats attached to them on the sides, in which visitors are accommodated, move at high speed along intricate turns of a metal structure. Animators of different types organize various contests and performances without letting anyone get bored.

As in a real seaside village, there is a pier, Port de la Drassana, where small boats are moored, delivering those who wish to other areas of the park. You can go to the neighboring area on foot, if you have time, looking at everything that catches your eye along the way.

Wild West Attractions

You can get to the Far West zone by the internal railway road laid through the territory of the park, swim by boat, if you are not in the neighboring, Mexican zone (you can walk from it). Once inside the Wild West, you immediately feel the spirit of the dashing cowboys, the heroes of O Henry, sung in his short stories; you are transported into the era of courageous children of a wild free life, full of extreme. The environment is great for this: Western trappings are here literally at every turn. Improvised saloons, covered carriages, outdoor hearths, wooden fences, huge blooming cacti. Performances are arranged to music in the country style, girls are dancing a temperamental cancan, shooting ranges are held with the use of cowboy colts. All rides a la Wild West. Those who wish can try on the role of brave cowboys by visiting the shooting gallery and saloon.

Carousel. Calm attraction for children. Basically, it is a circular carousel with masterfully crafted bison and mustang seats that delight the kids.

Buffalo Rodeo. View of the children's autodrome for toddlers (up to 1.4 m tall), where they drive cars styled as buffaloes and squeal with excitement when the cars collide. There is a similar option for adults, made in such a way that parents also become like their children in terms of excitement and impressions.

Stampida (Stampida). A type of roller coaster, many of which are made of wood. The main feature of this dizzying attraction is the simultaneous movement of the red and blue trains. For some part of the trajectory, they race in parallel, and then the direction changes, and the trains seem to compete in speed (maximum - 70 km per hour). Although you cannot turn upside down on them, there are enough extreme sensations, therefore there are restrictions on height (from 1.2 m and above).

Tomahawk. A softer version of a roller coaster for toddlers (from 1 m in height) accompanied by adults. The route of the compact wooden trailers on the way intersects at certain moments with the Stampida route, which adds to the thrill.

Silver River Canal. A funny water attraction - boating on log boats, when 4 people sit in a row in a row one after the other and “float along a rather intricate winding“ channel ”, sometimes slowly-smoothly, then steeply rising up or rapidly“ falling ”down the descent. It is the spoky-rises that everyone really likes when you experience the sensation of flying, when a sheaf of spray is poured over with water. Children with a height of 1.4 m can swim on their own, and below (up to 1 m) - with adults.

Rafting on the Grand Canyon. Another stunning water attraction: in spacious comfortable boats, in the center of which there is a huge circle of the "steering wheel", for which you need to hold on to the steep zigzags of the river, those wishing to make an extreme rafting. The river makes unexpected turns, and the boat "bounces" on them, performing unimaginable pirouettes. This is the most beloved attraction of the Wild West.

Vol Paiute. The type of a rotating carousel, when the skaters take places in the "apartment", which spins and spins in such a way that you need to have a good vestibular apparatus to enjoy such extreme sports. (Height - from 1.4 m). Blacksmith's Labyrinth is a wonderful fun and safe attraction in the form of a three-dimensional maze-house for small children (height - up to 1.4 m).

Attractions in the Mexico area

The "neighbor" of the Wild West is arranged in the style of ancient Mexico, when the famous Maya tribes lived in it, the attributes of life of which are presented in the form of reliable copies of their pyramids, the Temple of worship, and a gold mine. Musical performances are held here every day, the passionate rhythms of Mexican folk dances are heard everywhere.

Flight of the Condor. One of the extreme attractions, consisting in a sudden sharp fall of a booth with people in it down from a 100-meter tower. It's scary to look at it even from the outside, but there are many who want to experience the thrill of an incredible flight. Height from 1.4 m to 1.95 m.

Traveling through the old mine (Mine Train). A kind of labyrinth of fear: mine cars are carrying people through an old, abandoned mine. In the continuous darkness of the dungeon, flames suddenly appear, and skeletons appear against their background to the accompaniment of eerie music (skeletal uprising). Then the trolley rises up - a terrible sight is replaced by light, the journey continues. The labyrinth is based on the legend of the irretrievably lost miners.
