Travelers planning their winter holidays should definitely know that the famous season of discounts starts in romantic France on January 7th. This allows guests of the country not only to get acquainted with the amazing monuments of history and architecture, but also to purchase exclusive things, household appliances and much more.
Discounts in stores will be available exactly from 13-00 on January 7, and will last until February 17... During this period of time, France is visited by a record number of tourists, because in some boutiques, prices for goods drop to 70%. However, when store owners reduce prices to record lows, the choice of products is already limited: the most valuable items are sold out in the first days of discounts.
Before you go on a winter vacation to France, in order to combine leisure and shopping, it will not be superfluous to remember that in some regions of the country the seasons of discounts are slightly shifted. For example, in the departments of Meuse and Vosges, Meurthe and Moselle, located in Lorraine, the discount season starts on January 2 and lasts until February 12. From 23 January to 3 March, prices will drop in stores on Saint Pierre and Miquelon. In Martinique and Corsica this year, sales will start at the same time as in most of France. Such time shifts are due to the beginning of the season. If the peak of the tourist flow in Paris falls on the beginning of January, then in some provinces it starts a little later. In this regard, back in 2012, it was decided not to coincide in time with the start of seasonal sales throughout the country.
