Øresund bridge
It connects the cities of Malmö and Copenhagen, belonging to different states - Sweden and Denmark. The grandiose structure includes an 8-kilometer cable-stayed bridge across the Eressun Strait and a 4-kilometer underwater tunnel. And they are connected with each other by the artificial island of Peberholm. The opening took place in 2000. On the upper level there is a four-lane highway, on the lower level there is a railway. Stortorget Square
The history dates back to 1536. The very heart of Malmö. Translated as "large area". The main historical buildings are located here - the Town Hall, the governor's residence, the Kramer hotel, the oldest pharmacy in the city, Leyonette. In the center there is a monument to Karl X Gustav - the king who managed to conquer a number of Swedish provinces from the Danes and conclude a truce with them in 1658. There is also a beautiful fountain built on the site of a 16th century drinking well.
City hall
The original old building, decorated with bas-reliefs and sculptures of famous historical figures, bears little resemblance to a strict administrative institution. Construction work began in the 16th century. Subsequently, the building was rebuilt and expanded. And in the 19th century, after a global reconstruction, the Town Hall received new front facades in the style of the then fashionable Renaissance. Only 3 halls are available for inspection today. There is a restaurant in the basement of the building.
Lilla Torg
Nice square in the center of Malmö, surrounded by medieval houses. Its name is translated as "small". Founded in the 16th century for trade, this tradition continues to this day. Malmo Castle

St john's church

Technical and Maritime Museum
One of the most interesting and informative museums in the city. Located near Malmö Castle. The 54-storey white-stone skyscraper with a spiraling facade is the tallest building in Scandinavia. Its height is 190 meters.The official opening took place in 2005. Inside there are offices, conference rooms and luxury apartments. Free access to the masterpiece of architecture is limited, since it is private property.
Shopping center "Emporia"
An original example of ultra-modern "broken" architecture and one of the largest shopping centers in Scandinavia. Opened in 2012 near Malmö Arena.
